CCC 2024 Workshop Submission Types

General Workshops

A general workshop is a structured learning sessions bringing cardiovascular specialists together to learn new skills, techniques, or knowledge in a specific subject or topic. Workshops are required to be interactive and hands-on, providing participants with practical experience and opportunities to apply what they have learned.

Typically, an educational workshop involves a chair who leads the session, providing instruction, guidance, and support to the participants, as well as subject matter expert presenters who can provide a deeper understanding and mastery of a particular skill or subject, allowing participants to apply this knowledge in their practice. CCS Affiliates and educational partners can endorse a workshop, but this is not the same as an Affiliate Spotlight session. They are are 60 minutes in length.

Submissions can be from a wide range of medical education topics, with interactive and innovative approaches to learning.

Affiliate Spotlight

An Affiliate Spotlight session is qualified by the following requirements:

Hosted by one of the listed CCS Affiliate: CACH, CAIC, CCON, CCTN, CANCARE, CCPN, CHFS, CHRS, CPCA, CSCS, CSCMRI, CNCT, CSE, and CSVM;
Occurs within the CCS program;
Takes the form of a plenary session on CCS Affiliate’s sub-specialty area of interest, however is open to all delegates;
Planning and content is developed by the CCS Affiliate society;topic(s) and speaker(s) to be submitted and reviewed by the CCS SPC; and timeslot to be established as part of the slotting of workshops by CCS SPC.

Multi-Dicipline Session

A multi-discipline session incorporates a multidisciplinary approach to program design by being developed by multiple affiliate and educational partners, including CCCN, CSCT, CACH, CAIC, CCON, CCTN, CANCARE, CCPN, CHFS, CHRS, CPCA, CSCS, CSCMRI, CNCT, CSE, and CSVM. These submissions should embrace the program design of a General Workshops, as indicated above.

Core Curriculum

Core Curriculum sessions focus on a key area of a discipline or subspecialty that demonstrate standard competencies and are curated by the Workshop Committee. Planning Committees members are selected by the Scientific Program Committee to develop the educational content. These selected sessions will be identified as Core Curriculums in all event publications and promotional material.
