Dr Ganga Krishnamurthy is the Medical Director of the Infant Cardiac Unit at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York. She helped launch the Infant Cardiac Unit, a dedicated unit for neonates with congenital heart disease, the first of its kind in the United States of America.
She is recognized as a pioneer in neonatal cardiac care and is considered a thought leader in this field. She is one of a few neonatologists trained in cardiac intensive care who is integrated into Heart Centers. She is passionate about the role of Neonatology in the care of neonates with congenital heart disease and how they may contribute to the care of neonates with congenital heart center and integrate into Heart Centers. Dr Krishnamurthy is currently focused on creating advanced fellowship in neonatal cardiac intensive care that may potentially attract and engage future neonatologists to enter this space.
