CTO Interventional Cardiology Fellow
University of Manitoba/University of Toronto
Jenny Namkoong is currently a Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) & Complex PCI Interventional Cardiology fellow in the University of Toronto network. She recently completed her interventional cardiology fellowship with the University of Manitoba, after finishing her medical school, internal medicine and cardiology training in Australia where she grew up.
Her growing research interest is in the biological sex differences in coronary artery disease. She wishes to continue pursuing deeper understanding of this through her clinical practice of treating patients with both chronic totally occluded arteries, which are typically known to affect males more than females, and invasive physiology of non-obstructive coronarary artery disease, which traditionally is known to have female predominance.
Jenny also enjoys deep conversations with friends, putting some of those musings in writing, hiking, and exploring neighbourhood cafes. Whilst she does this around the world, she is looking to continue her early career in Canada.
