Dr. Cedric Manlhiot received a PhD at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Toronto. From 2015 to 2019 he was the Director of the Cardiovascular Data Management Centre (CVDMC) in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Under Dr. Manlhiot’s leadership, CVDMC has established itself as a leader in emerging methods for cardiovascular data analytics. He joined Johns Hopkins University in 2019 to lead the Cardiovascular Intelligence Initiative affiliated with the Blalock-Taussig-Thomas Pediatric Heart Center. As of June 2024, he is a Scientist in the Research Institute at SickKids Hospital in Toronto, he is appointed as the Ted Rogers Centre Innovator in Cardiovascular Precision Medicine in the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research and holds the William G. Williams Research Directorship in Cardiac Data Analytics in the Labatt Family Heart Centre. He is an author of more than 300 scientific publications to date. In addition to algorithm development, his current research program focuses on emerging analytical methods for precision medicine, studying the infrastructure for the clinical deployment of prediction models and the life cycle of algorithms in clinical settings.
