Originally from Manitoba, Dr. Pockett studied and completed medical school at the University of Calgary in 2005. She completed her Pediatric residency at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary in 2009 which included 6 months of training at the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane Australia. She went on to train in Pediatric Cardiology at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton from 2009 to 2012. In July of 2012 Dr. Pockett joined the division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. A one year leave of absence in 2014 allowed her to pursue advanced training in Pediatric Interventional Cardiology at the Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California. Dr. Pockett has been a member of the Children's Healthy-Heart Activity Monitoring program in Saskatchewan research team since 2014 at its inception. Her research interests also include using remote presence technology for clinical applications in Pediatric Cardiology.
