Mimi Deng is a PGY3 + 1yr PhD(c) in Cardiac Surgery the University of Toronto. Previously, she completed medical school at University of Ottawa and received her Bachelor of Health Sciences at McMaster University, specializing in Biomedicine & Biochemistry. Her graduate research involves exploring the role of ex-vivo heart perfusion in large animal models. During residency, she looks forward to exploring the full breadth of adult and pediatric cardiac surgery. Outside of medicine, she enjoys movies, running, and graphic design.
