Kaiming (Billy) is a medical student from the University of Calgary, Class of 2025. He completed his master’s thesis, which focused on examining prognostic biomarkers in patients with heart failure and later in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 during the pandemic at the University of Alberta. His main interest lies in preventative care, and he aims to utilize biomarkers and imaging techniques to help develop personalized approaches for identifying individuals at risk of cardiovascular diseases. Outside of his academic pursuits, Kaiming enjoys playing basketball, board games, hiking, traveling, and exploring new food places.
