Dr Hartleib completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Toronto with a year as Chief Medical Resident at Sunnybrook Hospital. He completed a combined fellowship in Adult Cardiology and Adult Critical Care Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is currently a staff Cardiologist at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre and the Kawartha Cardiology Clinic. Previously was the Chief of Cardiology, and subsequently Chief and Director of Medicine at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Dr. Hartleib is currently Chief of Staff at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Dr. Hartleib is the director of Kawartha Cardiology Clinical trials, with a particular interest in vascular risk reduction including lipid and BP control, HF management and antithrombotic therapy. He is a past council member of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, is an executive member of the Ontario Association of Cardiologists, a current member of the Echo Standards Committee of Ontario, acts as a reviewer for CJC Online, and is an Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario.
