Medical Student
University of Calgary, Canada
I am a third-year medical student at the University of Calgary, having started my medical journey in 2022. That same year, I completed my Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) at the University of Calgary, which laid a strong foundation for my ongoing studies and research endeavors.
During my undergraduate education, I developed a deep interest in research, particularly in basic sciences and regenerative medicine. This early research experience fostered my passion for internal medicine and cardiovascular health. I am dedicated to exploring these fields further through my medical studies.
Currently, I am conducting research at the Libin Institute of Cardiovascular Health, where I examine the intersection of health economics and preventative medicine. My focus is on how to balance economic considerations with innovative technologies, specifically with regards to the antimicrobial envelope and its cost utility in preventing cardiac electronic implantable device-related infections. The aim of my research is to develop more effective and equitable approaches to care and prevention.
My journey has been driven by a desire to integrate clinical practice with research, striving to make a meaningful impact in internal medicine. I am committed to advancing our understanding of cardiovascular health and improving patient outcomes through both innovative research and evidence-based clinical practices. As I continue my medical education, I remain focused on contributing to the field with the ambition of enhancing health and wellbeing through my dual focus on clinical excellence and research.
