Josep Rodés-Cabau, MD, PhD
Dr Josep Rodés-Cabau completed his medical studies at the University of Barcelona, Spain, and a residency in cardiology at the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital of Barcelona, Spain. He did a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the Montreal Heart Institute, Montreal, Canada and at the Institut Cardiovasculaire ParisSud, Paris, France. He is currently the director of the Catheterization and Interventional Laboratories of the Quebec Heart & Lung Institute, Quebec City, Canada, and Associate Professor of Medicine at Laval University, Quebec City, Canada. He has developed his research program in the field of interventional cardiology, with special interest in structural heart disease. He holds the Research Chair “Fondation Famille Jacques Larivière” for the Development of Structural Heart Disease Interventions (Laval University). He has published 600 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and has an H index of 103 (H index -5 years-: 88). He is among the 1% most cited scientists in the world, and is currently Associate Editor of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
