Michael Froeschl, MD MSc FRCPC FACC
Dr. Froeschl received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and his medical doctorate from McGill. His clinical training includes three years at the University of Toronto in internal medicine and four years at the University of Ottawa—three in adult cardiology and a fourth in interventional cardiology.
Dr. Froeschl’s chief academic interest is medical education. He was awarded the 2007 Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Fellowship for Studies in Medical Education. In 2011, he earned a Master of Science degree in Health Professions Education at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
Dr. Froeschl practices as an interventional cardiologist at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. At the University of Ottawa, he is an associate professor of medicine and serves as Director of the Adult Cardiology Residency Program and Director of Education for the Division of Cardiology. He also holds the Donald S. Beanlands Chair in Cardiology Education.
