Jessica Spence is a cardiac anesthesiologist and critical care physician who is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University and a Scientist at the Population Health Research Institute. She has completed residency in Anesthesia (McMaster University), fellowships in Critical Care (McMaster University) and Cardiac Anesthesiology (University of Toronto), and a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology (McMaster University). She leads a research program focused on the perioperative care of cardiac surgical patients, focussing on how intraoperative non-surgical interventions can improve postoperative outcomes and recovery.
