Kim Ruether is an X-ray technologist, non-profit founder, BLS instructor, farmer, and mother of four. In 2012, her 16-year-old son, Brock, collapsed at his school volleyball practice and died of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). She has since placed AEDs in community halls, churches, police stations, youth camp venues, and in schools across Alberta through donations to Project Brock Society. She recently completed her Master of Arts in Leadership, and continues working to find ways to increase SCA awareness and management in schools.
