Dr Atul Verma is a Full Professor of Medicine and cardiac electrophysiologist/cardiologist. He is currently the Director of Cardiology at the McGill University Health Center and for the McGill Division of Cardiology in Montreal. He is also the Isadore Rosenfeld Chair in Cardiology. He trained in medicine and cardiology at the University of Toronto and did his electrophysiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
His interests are in complex ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia and in physiologic pacing. He is an active clinical trialist and has been principal investigator of several international clinical trials. He has over 370 peer-reviewed publications and an H-index of 83. He has authored many national and international guideline documents. In 2023, he will serve as the President of the Canadian Heart Rhythm Society.
