Senior Physiotherapist
University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Canada
I received my Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa in 2006. My strong caring nature coupled with my interest in healthcare led me into this field of practice. Throughout my career, I had the opportunity to work in various clinical environments. I have a range of experience from private practice to inpatient acute care, including intensive care units. I am currently working full time as senior physiotherapist with the inpatient & outpatient population at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI). Aside from my work in the realm of cardiorespiratory therapy, I have a particular interest in the care of individuals with Ventricular Assisted Devices and Heart Transplant recipients. I am a member of the UOHI Heart Transplant Team and provide the physiotherapy perspective to the committee. I also showed commitment to the physiotherapy profession by being a practice supervisor for physiotherapy residents and clinical supervisor for many students. My passion for teaching and evidence-based practice motivates me to guide others towards modern techniques and practices in physiotherapy.
