Dr. Richard Cook is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of British Columbia. After completing his cardiac surgery training at UBC, he completed a mitral valve repair fellowship with Professor Christophe Acar in Paris, followed by a robotic and minimally-invasive surgery fellowship with Dr. W. Randolph Chitwood, Jr., in North Carolina. He is currently serving as the outgoing Chair of the Cardiac Surgery Exam Board at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
