Ryan is a cardiologist who is passionate about sports cardiology and echocardiography. He has completed an echocardiogrpaphy fellowship at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto and he is currently training at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Cardiovascular Performance fellowship while continuing to hone his echocardiography skills in MGH's echo lab. His interests include exercise-induced cardiac remodeling and how we can use novel imaging techniques to better delineate physiologic remodeling from pathologic remodeling. His research interests include the accuracy and utilities of consumer wearable heart rate monitors, sports-related cardiac death, myocarditis, and the development of new exercise protocols to best serve athletes and highly-trained individuals.
