Dr. Andrea Lavoie is an interventional cardiologist for the Saskatchewan Heatlh Authority - Regina Mosaic Heart Centre.
From Melfort, Saskatchewan, she trained in Saskatoon at the University of Saskatchewan for her BSc and MD. She then attended Dalhousie University for her Internal Medicine and Cardiology residency. She then completed an interventional fellowship at the University of Calgary and then spent a year at the Cleveland Clinic doing iIntravascular ultrasound and atherosclerosis research.
Dr. Lavoie has special interests in coronary heart disease, intravascular imaging, congestive heart failure and women’s heart disease.
She is the medical director of the Cardiac Care Unit at the Mosaic Heart Centre and is the founder and director of the Prairie Cardiac Foundation and the Saskatchwan Cardiac Care Network. She also serves as the clinical co-Director of the Prairie Vascular Research Network.
