Dr. Eric Kaplovitch, MD, FRCPC completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Toronto before completing additional vascular medicine and thrombosis training at both McMaster University and the University of Toronto. He is a past fellow of the HoPingKong Centre’s quality improvement and new models of care program with a focus on arterial and venous disease states. Dr. Kaplovitch currently practices thrombosis and vascular medicine at the University Health Network and Sinai Health System, and serves as the quality and safety lead of the blood disorders program. He proudly serves as the vice president of the Canadian Society of Vascular Medicine. Dr. Kaplovitch’s current academic interests include determining the optimal choice and intensity of vascular protective, the organization of vascular care within regional health systems, guideline development, as well as the teaching of vascular medicine and thrombosis to front-line clinicians.
