Barry Burstein, MD completed his cardiology training at McGill University and then completed 2-year Critical Care Medicine training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. His clinical interests are cardiac intensive care, advanced heart failure, echocardiography, and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). Research interests include prognostication of patients in the cardiac intensive care unit, specifically those with cardiogenic shock and heart failure. He practices as a Cardiac Intensivist at Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga, ON, an affiliate of the University of Toronto.
