Dr Isabelle Greiss is a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at the University of Montreal Hospital Center (CHUM), with a specialized training in atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation performed in Milan, Italy. She created the AF Ablation Program at the CHUM and is the director of its AF Clinic. She is an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montreal and is especially involved in electrocardiogram and pharmacotherapy courses.
Dr Greiss is a clinical investigator at the CHUM Research Center and is involved in multicentric randomized trials on AF ablation and stroke prevention. She was on the executive committee of a multicentric follow-up program conducted in Quebec on nearly 4,000 patients with AF. She then participated in a longitudinal study on the future of 2,010 of those patients. She also worked as an expert consultant for the National Institute in Health and Social Services of Quebec on clinical tools concerning new anticoagulants. Dr Greiss has special interests in AF thromboembolic prevention and in AF occurring in acute settings.
