Dr. Gray received his Doctor of Medicine training at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He then went on to complete a Paediatric Residency and Paediatric Cardiology Fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Afterwards, he moved to Toronto to complete a Paediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), during which he was the recipient of the Simon Abrahamson Award for outstanding academic achievement and performance in critical care.
He is a member of the Cardiology Single Ventricle Team, the hospital Resuscitation Oversight Committee, and serves as chair of the Critical Care Unit Cardiopulmonary Arrest Review Committee. He is also the SickKids Co-Clinical Champion for the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium (PC4) and leads Clinical Informatics for the Critical Care Unit.
Dr. Gray’s research focuses on application of human-centered co-participatory design techniques to create innovative solutions for complex problems within pediatric cardiac critical care, with a particular interest in systems design and spatial design.
