Dr. Darwin Yeung is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He received his MD from the University of Toronto followed by residency training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at UBC. He then went on to complete advanced fellowships in echocardiography at Vancouver General Hospital and Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minnesota). He currently serves as one of the echocardiographers at the VGH / UBC Hospital Echo Lab, and one of the specialists in the St. Paul's Hospital Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic and VGH Cardiac Function Clinic. His research interests include diastolic function assessment, clinical applications of strain imaging, and echo assessment of non-ischemic cardiomyopathies including HCM, amyloidosis, and Fabry disease.
