Dr. Tremblay commenced his education with an undergraduate program in Microbiology and Immunology at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. Subsequently, he relocated to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and earned a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry), Doctor of Medicine, and Master of Science in Community Health and Epidemiology from Dalhousie University. He completed his cardiac surgery residency training at Dalhousie University and then pursued a Fellowship in Mechanical Support and Thoracic Transplantation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Tremblay is certified as a Fellow in Cardiac Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. His clinical interests include advanced surgical therapies for heart failure, including heart transplantation as well as temporary and long-term mechanical circulatory support modalities.
