Pediatric Intensivist
BC Children's Hospital
UBC
I have been practising Pediatric Intensive Care since 2002 and Staff since 2006. I trained in the UK (my homeland), initially in Pediatrics and its various subspecilaties until my impatience and need for rapid gratification led me to PICU, via London, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and, in 2017, to Vancouver. I have worked across all aspects of PICU, including cardiac, neurocritical care and congenital immunodeficiency/BMT and have carried out over 300 rterievals/transports of critically ill children.
I have a particular interest in medical leadership and human factors: why we behave like we do and how this affects our care of patients and their families.
When not in hospital, I like to walk my dog in the mountains of West Vancouver, spend time with my three cats and sometimes my wife and kids.
