Dr. Hassan Mir, MD, FRCPC, is an academic cardiologist in the Divisions of Cardiology and Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, and an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Mir completed his medical school training at the University of Western Ontario. He pursued Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at McMaster University. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Advanced Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation at the University of Toronto. He is currently pursuing his Master of Public Health at Harvard University and his Master of Health Informatics at the University of Toronto.
Hassan has a strong clinical and research interest in the development, evaluation, and implementation of digital health technologies to improve clinical outcomes. His clinical, teaching, research, and leadership activities have been recognized at the local, provincial, national, and international level.
