The Canadian Paediatric Cardiology Association Debate Session will feature 2 debates:
Cardiopulmonary bypass should not be performed in premature neonates <34 weeks of gestational age - PRO
All patients presenting with syncope should have an ECG as part of their assessment: PRO

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session participants will be able to:

Evaluate the rationale for undertaking cardiopulmonary bypass in premature infants;
Summarize neurodevelopmental concerns regarding cardiopulmonary bypass in premature infants; and
Review the pros and cons of performing an ECG in the pediatric patient presenting with syncope.
