Dr. Zardasht Oqab is a Chief Adult Cardiology Fellow at the University of Calgary. He is originally from Toronto, Ontario where he completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University. He subsequently trained in medicine abroad in Netherlands Antilles and Internal Medicine residency at Queen’s University. He was a member of the CCS Trainee Committee and serves on CANet’s Highly Qualified Personnel Executive Committee. Zardasht is passionate about clinical research and has received grants from the Canadian Stroke Prevention Intervention Network and CANet for his research in atrial fibrillation. Outside of work, he loves to hike the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, travel and experiment tasting variety of cuisines. He is a time management enthusiast and a lifelong student of the game.
