Dr. Janek Senaratne is currently a Staff Cardiac Intensivist at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He completed his medical school in 2009 followed by residencies in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care at the University of Alberta. He also completed a Masters in Translational Research. Beyond his clinical work in Cardiac Critical Care, General Critical Care, and the Vital Heart Response program, he is involved in teaching, simulation medicine, and research at the University of Alberta and Grey Nuns Hospitals. He is the Program Director of the Adult Cardiology Residency Program, the Critical Care Cardiology Fellowship Program Director, and the Director of Simulation for the Department of Critical Care Medicine.
