Dr Mansour is a full professor of medicine at the Montreal University medical school. He is a cardiologist, interventional cardiologist and clinical researcher. He is the chief of the research and director of stem cell therapy in the cardiology division of the CHUM (Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal). He is director of the cath lab at the Cité de la Santé hospital. Currently, he is a member of the scientific committee of the research center at CHUM and a member of the advisory board of the FRSQ (Fonds de la recherche en santé au Québec). He is the past president of the Canadian Association of Interventional Cardiology. His major research interests are in stem cell therapy, heart failure, coronary artery physiology and the management of high-risk groups of patients with coronary artery disease such as STEMI, chronic total occlusion, left main, bifurcation or multivessel disease. He is also a PI and co-PI of several clinical trials in the field of metabolic syndrome, dyslipidemia, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, and HIV-related coronary artery disease. Dr Mansour has been the primary or co-author of 6 book chapters, 130 peer-reviewed publications and over 400 abstracts.
