Dr. Sami El-Dalati graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He then went on to the University of Michigan to complete a joint residency in internal medicine and pediatrics and a fellowship in infectious disease. During his training, he helped create a team approach to improve the care of patients with infectious endocarditis. He is now Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Kentucky where he is director of their multidisciplinary endocarditis program. He has published multiple articles on the role of partial oral antibiotic therapy for the treatment of infectious endocarditis.
