Dr. Scott McClure is a Cardio-Aortic Surgeon and Clinical Associate Professor at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute at the University of Calgary. He is the Co-Director of the Calgary Aortic Program, a multidisciplinary Aortic Team initiative, promoting collaborative multispecialty decision-making as best practice for aortic disease management. Dr. McClure has a focused interest in the surgical and endovascular treatment of the thoracic aorta and thoracoabdominal disease. He is on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Society of Cardiac Surgeons and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Workforce Committee for Evidence Based Surgery, as well as the STS National Database committee. Dr. McClure’s clinical research interests concentrate on health policy initiatives as they pertain to aortic disease as well as clinical outcomes studies.
