Dr. Richard Cook is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of British Columbia. After completing his cardiac surgery training at UBC, he completed a mitral valve repair fellowship with Professor Christophe Acar in Paris, followed by a robotic and minimally-invasive surgery fellowship with Dr. W. Randolph Chitwood, Jr., in North Carolina. He is currently serving as the Treasurer of the Canadian Society of Cardiac Surgeons.
