Mimi Deng a PGY3 + 1yr PhD(c) in Cardiac Surgery at the University of Toronto. Previously, she completed medical school at University of Ottawa and received her Bachelor of Health Sciences at McMaster University, specializing in Biomedicine & Biochemistry. She has an interest in surgical management of congenital heart defects and is also keen to explore the full breadth of cardiac surgery. She is currently doing her PhD on ex-vivo heart perfusion and transplant in large animal models. In her leisure, she enjoys running, watching films, and drawing.
