Dr. Paquin is a cardiologist in the Division of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation and part of the Center for Inclusive Health and Prevention at the Quebec Heart and Lung Institute, affiliated with Laval University, where she also completed Cardiology residency training and a Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology. After residency, she pursued her training with a two-year fellowship in Advanced Echocardiography and Women’s Cardiovascular Health at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and a one-year fellowship in Women’s Cardiovascular Health and clinical research at the Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center – Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute of Los Angeles (USA). As well, she is currently completing a doctoral degree (PhD) in Clinical Sciences, looking into the differential impact between sexes of metabolic risk factors on the development of cardiovascular disease.
