Interventional Cardiologist

Dr. Robert Avram completed his internal medicine and cardiology training at the University of Montreal and pursued a 3-year post-doctoral Fellowship in Artificial Intelligence and Interventional Cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco. At UCSF, his efforts served on developing, implementing and testing various digital tools (wearables, biosensors, smartphone apps) in two large scale prospective mobile health studies. Additionally, as a self-taught programmer, Dr. Avram brings expertise in clinical research by applying machine learning and deep learning algorithms to medical data. He then completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at the Ottawa Heart Institute. After his training, Dr. Avram joined the Montreal Heart Institute in July 2021 as faculty as an interventional cardiologist and researcher in Artificial Intelligence applied to healthcare where he leads the HeartWise.ai lab.
